Services

A service represents a transport job with a pickup, loading or unloading and a delivery. It is the unit that is later assigned to a vehicle.

  • Customer: the company contracting the service.
  • Date and time window: when it can be performed.
  • Pickup and delivery: addresses with coordinates.
  • Cargo type: determines vehicle compatibility.
  • Commercial data: sale, cost and applicable pricing rules.
  1. Use addresses from the master data; avoid free text without coordinates.
  2. Check that the time window is realistic and compatible with the duration.
  3. Verify cargo type and vehicle type compatibility.
  4. If the distance matrix is missing between two points, the plan may be incomplete or unreliable.

For high volumes, services can be imported from XLSX. The import returns a report with successful and failed rows. See Import and export.

Once services are recorded, create a plan.
