Planning

Planning turns a set of services and vehicles into an assignment and sequence proposal.

  1. Open Planning and create a new plan.
  2. Choose the service date.
  3. Select the services to include.
  4. Select the available vehicles.
  5. Save the plan.

The calculation runs as an asynchronous job. The screen shows the status until it finishes. The detail view then updates with the proposal.

The engine considers, among other factors:

  • service windows;
  • capacity and cargo compatibility;
  • costs and pricing rules;
  • available distances and durations.

The plan detail includes:

  • Map: stops and road routes.
  • Timeline: services, travel and waiting.
  • Sequence: stop order per vehicle.
  • KPIs: services covered, fleet usage, cost, sale and profit.

If services, vehicles or rules change, calculate again. The previous plan is replaced by the new proposal. Keep operational judgement: the system proposes, the team decides.

The capacity scenario has been validated with 100 vehicles and 300 services per plan, with a 5-minute calculation budget. It is a test scenario: real feasibility depends on the windows, capacity, compatibility and distance matrix of each operation.

The map is a visualisation of the persisted sequence. It is not legal proof that a route is suitable for a truck and it does not include live traffic. The conditions and regulations applicable in each country are reviewed and configured with the team during implementation; the product does not replace legal advice.
